Nebraskans Need To Know: Who is Funding Senator Fischer?
Raybould Campaign Says: Follow the Money
Lincoln, Neb.— Today, the Raybould campaign calls for transparency from Senator Fischer by challenging her campaign to release the percentage of donors and dollars coming from Nebraska in the first quarter of 2018.
Fischer said in an Omaha World Herald article Thursday (“Raybould doubles fundraising total“) that she was “proud to have strong grassroots support across the state of Nebraska from people in every county.”
But a quick skim of Senator Fischer’s filings raises eyebrows for voters about where her money is actually coming from.
“The voters of Nebraska need to know: just who are Senator Fischer’s campaign donors and where is her money coming from? Senator Fischer’s latest campaign filing reads like a directory of Washington lobbyists and corporate PACs. As much as she may wish it the other way, Senator Fischer’s DC pals and PACs don’t get a vote on November 6,” said Deputy Campaign Manager Sarah Sinovic.
Of Raybould’s 3,225 individual donors in the first quarter of 2018 —96 percent (or 3,117)—are Nebraskans. Of the $722,197 Raybould for US Senate has raised since its launch, 72 percent of that money came from in-state.

A grocery store owner and faithful Catholic, Jane Raybould knows what it means to serve her community – to put community before self. She is running for the United States Senate to cut through the partisan bickering and get things done for Nebraskans, like her customers. Jane boldly announced she would refuse donations from corporate PACs because she knows the special interests hold too much sway in Washington. Her opponent, incumbent Senator Deb Fischer has enriched herself in office and voted with her party 98% of the time – even when those policies are harmful to Nebraskans.
