Raybould Launches “Senator For Sale”
Website, Digital Ads Will Help Educate Nebraskans on How Fischer Has Enriched Herself in Office
Lincoln, Neb.— The Raybould for U.S. Senate Campaign, kicks off the general election fight for Nebraska’s U.S. Senate seat today with the launch of http://Senator.ForSale, an information hub illustrating how special interests and corporate political action committees (PACs) are propping up Deb Fischer’s re-election campaign while they buy her votes on the senate floor and she gets rich in Washington.

The new site Senator.ForSale illustrates how Senator Fischer’s personal net worth has mushroomed from $300,000 when she took office to almost $3.4 million today — more than a ten-fold increase—and includes a scrolling ticker of the top corporate PAC contributors to Fischer’s campaign, including pharmaceutical giants, Wall Street banks and big oil. These corporations are funding Senator Fischer’s reelection campaign while employing dozens of lobbyists who push for more corporate giveaways at the expense of Nebraska’s small businesses, families and working people.
Jane Raybould has pledged she will not accept corporate PAC contributions in her campaign but her opponent has taken more than $1.3 million from corporate PACs. 90 percent of Fischer’s re-election funds have come from PACs and large individual contributors, according to Center for Responsive Politics.

A grocery store owner and faithful Catholic, Jane Raybould knows what it means to serve her community — to put community before self. She is running for the United States Senate to cut through the partisan bickering and get things done for Nebraskans, like her customers. Jane boldly announced she would refuse donations from corporate PACs because she knows the special interests hold too much sway in Washington. Her opponent, incumbent Senator Deb Fischer has enriched herself in office and voted with her party 98% of the time — even when those policies are harmful to Nebraskans.
