AP: Senate hopeful Raybould seeks USDA records on Fischer

In pursuit of answers on the issue of Sen. Deb Fischer’s skyrocketing net worth, the Jane Raybould for U.S. Senate campaign submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and several divisions within the USDA to obtain documents that could uncover any preferential treatment given to Sen. Fischer’s Sunny Slope Ranch, resulting in her financial gain.

From the Associated Press:

“Raybould has attacked Fischer’s campaign donations and personal finances, noting that her net worth has increased substantially while in office. Fischer, who ranches with her husband, has previously said she values her integrity and doesn’t appreciate the attacks by a campaign desperate for attention. The request seeks to uncover whether Fischer, her husband or their ranch received various forms of USDA assistance.”
